What to do for a hangover
Hangovers can have tons of negative impacts on your life. Reduced athletic performance, cognitive issues, headaches, reduced sexual performance, and more. Some simple things to do for a hangover include drinking water, getting rest, and consuming electrolytes such as coconut water, electrolyte drinks like PREGAME, and fruit juice. Eating a healthy meal or drinking a sports drink can also help replenish lost nutrients. Over-the-counter pain medication like Tylenol and Ibuprofen can also be taken to relieve headache and other symptoms. Hydration is the most important, as pain relief medications do not help with actually “curing” the hangover, they instead just make the symptoms more bearable.
Sodium and Potassium for hangover
Sodium and potassium can help reduce symptoms of a hangover, but work better if taken before drinking. Alcohol consumption can cause your body to lose fluids and electrolytes, including sodium and potassium, which can lead to dehydration and contribute to symptoms like headache and fatigue. Consuming foods or drinks that are high in these electrolytes, such as sports drinks like PREGAME, coconut water, or bananas, can help replenish what was lost the night before and dampen some of the symptoms of a hangover.
